The cable company does not seemed to have noticed and it has been almost 4 years. I would recommend dumping Outlook Express from your computer and using somthing else such as Yahoo you mentioned. For the short time I used OE a lot of spam came thru although I dumped it for other reasons in addition to the spam.

You can buy spam filter software. My laptop came with antivirus/antispam software that was pretty good about catching spam email that my ISP didn't catch. This particular software ran in Outlook Express.
