Subject: It appears I have a versoin of Dr. Watson running on my computer. I never installed this program but I get the impression it somehow comes with XP Pro. It keeps crashing my email and I cant figure out how to disable it and I cant find it to uninstall or delete it. Any suggestions?

[> You can't just go find Dr. Watson on your hard drive and get rid of all the files/folders? I couldn't see it on my Add/Remove programs list. I can tell you how to find the file on your computer but I'm not sure just deleting that will get rid of him (inside) -- Sarahsue, 17:13:00 03/22/07 Thu [1]

To find the Dr. Watson folder:

Double click "my computer"
Double click on your C drive
Double click the "windows" folder
You should see a folder for Dr Watson

Do you have a Dr Watson icon on your task bar? If so, you can right click that and exit.

Otherwise, you can take Dr Watson off of your startup menu if it's starting up automatically when you start your computer or reboot. To do that:

Click "start"
Click on "run"
Type msconfig and click on "ok"
Click the tab called Startup
Uncheck anything you don't want to automatically start up every time you turn on or reboot your computer.
Click "apply" and then "okay"

That would at least make him not automatically start up for you.

I'm assuming it works similarly in XP to do this. I have Win 98se so it might be a little different.

I'd definitely try taking Dr Watson off of your startup menu first.
