Things in the startup folder open when you start up the computer. If I'm not mistaken, anything you install will automatically be listed in the "All Programs" section of your start menu, you shouldn't have to actually put it there. There may be an easy way, but without looking at your computer, I can't say for sure. You'd be safe deleting shortcuts, but if you try to move the actual program, it may not know where to look for its files after that.
If I were you, I'd just go into "Add and Remove Programs" (it's in your Control Panel) and uninstall it. Then reinstall it and let it put it where it wants to put it (which will probably be somewhere on your C drive). Then when you want to run it, just go to "All Programs" on your start menu and it should be there. As a general rule I don't try to override the location when I'm installing programs, but that's just me. I can always put a shortcut icon anywhere I want it to be without moving the program.

also don't know if this helps anyone- but something I just recently learned to do that has made my life so much easier is I created a download folder and everything I download from online goes there. Makes my life so much easier now. -- chris k, 06:39:40 04/06/07 Fri [1]
