Deemus, you might try closing all other applications. It could be that there isn't enough memory to run it. You could even have things running in your background you don't know about. You can check CPU usage by right clicking on your task bar and bring up task manager. Click on performance. How much CPU usage should there be? When I checked the way you suggested, the little graph bounced around between about 7% and 13%.
