A number of Lighthouses are dispensing with Small 3rd Order Lenses but Large 3rd Order 500mm Lenses are extremely valuable (GBP70,000) so normally will go to museums.

Suggest contact with LH Authorities to see which Lighthouses are to be modernised with LED Lanterns in 2007/8


Question-Are you going to restore the Lens?-most are in poor condition in many countries and one may be available if restoration is yr intension.

Pls confirm so questions can be asked of Potential LH Authorities donors.Also-can you pay shipping costs?
