Subject: Lightship radio beacon

Hi all

In our quest to restore our lightship, build in 1959, I am searching for a missing radio in the radio room. There was a beacon radio that transmitted a code so that ships could identify the lightship and take a heading.

The telephony transceiver (Marconi) is still on board and I assumed the beacon radio must have been a Marconi as well, but talking to an ex-employer of the company, he claimed Marconi never made one.

So can anybody help to identify what radio it might have been, and if anyone knows one for sale. Doesn't ned to be operational, just needs to look nice.

Any help is welcome!

Best regards
Jan ;-)
