Subject: Buchan Ness

Wish people would stop saying that Buchan Ness is the most north-easterly point in Scotland. You've only got to look at a map to see that it's about half a mile west of Keith Inch, the northerly arm of Peterhead Bay. It is not even the most north-easterly light: the Admiralty list shows two structures, Peterhead North Breakwater and North base Jetty, as being sited further east.
Buchan Ness is of course the most north-easterly major tower in Scotland, if you confine yourself to major towers. But most north-easterly point? No!
