Earl has gone mad! What is Earl thinking - 5 million for the sewer, 3 million for town garage, hey while your at it lets do the senior center to for another 3 million or so. And don't forget, Earl, your campaign promise to freeze taxes for the elderly. Did you know New Hartford grows lots of potatoes? Did you know that we have 6,600 residents and not all of them pay taxes? Hey,I got an idea, let's tax the potatoes, there is lots of them and they taste good, too!

I've always felt it was pragmatic to listen to what people had to say for themselves... not what a "former opponent" ( oh yeah - the one who beat you!) might feel compelled to present.... interesting that after all the recent negative commentary about Baxter and Company Chris feels the need to say "But we all agree....". I think I'll wait to hear what Earl has to say for himself - I've never found him to be at a loss for words. The "Baxter Boys" are known for twisting the facts to serve their purpose.

and I really doubt Earl asked Chris to be his mouthpiece.

Here's an unrelated yet interesting question: anyone know how its possible that Rich Lederman can squeeze two spec houses on the lot on 219 - where I believe we have 2 acre zoning - are they sharing a septic system? If a developer has blatantly disregarded the deed restrictions he publicly agreed to at a town meeting, how is it possible for that person to get the necessary permits to continue building in this town?
