Subject: Sewer Treatment Plan Stinks

The sewer treatment plant is all smoke and mirrors. The committee presents a carrot to the town’s folks that we will all be able to dump our septic once every 3 or 4 years and that is a big plus for us. Also, they committee admits that there is leakage of 100,000 to 150,000 gallons of water flowing into the sewer system. Why the hell should we be asked to pay 5-7 million dollars for something the town should be fixing? What are there, one to two miles tops of sewer drains? How much is that, 1 to 1.8 million to fix? That is the number being thrown around town. Hart says there are numerous people waiting to hook up. Why should 90% of the people in town that can’t hook up pay for the 10% that want to hook up? We all have our own septic. If they want in downtown, then let them pay personally for it. Now for the development; if all the residents hook up, what is this smoke and mirrors about commercial business coming if we expand the sewer? That is the biggest bunch of, bag of crap I have ever heard. The 50 plus housing, the commercial wait list to come in, oh don’t forget the low income housing development that the sneaky ones are lying in wait for. Yes folks this is what they really want. They want us all to pay for them, then pay a hell of lot more in taxes for the services sucking housing development they will allow in. Oh ya, dont waste the money on the town garage. Just fix it!
