Hi, my name is Mickey, I was wondering if you have any PICS of your 1 year old female, I am looking for a hybred that is more doglike in behavor,but more wolf like in size and appearance, I have raised mals and Siberians for about thirty years and now have a 25% third generation (f3) hybred that is small for his size, but is also great with my cat and other dogs , (I can't understand why my cat never swipes him across the nose for dragging him all over the house, except my cat was bigger than my hybred 'shyku' when i first got him, they are best friends actually) would love o find another with this ones disposition, not all do, thanks, Mickey Emerson [ Post a Reply to This Message ]

I once held the romantic notion that wolves had a place in the home, and while I support the periodic introduction of wolf genetics into the working dog breeds, the threat of genetic backflow from hybrids to wild wolf populations means that you MUST spay or neuter your animals. We all want a bit of the wild to associate closely with, but do the responsible thing and limit it...do not promote wolf breeding programs unless absolutely necessary!! -MF [ Post a Reply to This Message ]

Don't tell those of us that do what to do either. Some people are different and most importantly , educated on the subject, I was forced to get mine neutered and would still like to strangle them for it. I also do not want a fixed wolf or hybrid, But sometimes that is best, maybe and probably most of the time, but don't tell me all. Fact is all German Sheppard are wolf hybrids. In fact their original name was Alsatian wolf dogs. That goes double for you people who have no concept what wolfs are about, they are not dogs and can be dangerous. Some of you people with the sweet dispositionened hybrids would be shocked to find in reality you have maybe all of 12 percent or less wolf, and at least three generations away. and believe me , that's a good thing. They will tear your house and belongings to shreds , they dig holes in your yard 30 feet long 10 foot deep. They kill other animals and can kill children or even adults if they go into stalking mode, wolfs kill other wolfs. Hybrids are simply animals that have no fear any longer of humans and may or may not keep most of their wild nature and hunting instincts. And there are shelters for such animals, and irresponsible breeding is the reason they are over crowded. In which case, they can only put them down.
