Universal Health Care: **1/2
Michael McKean is clearly Phil Hartman's replacement and would take his first stab at Bill Clinton. There was not much McKean could do to make a mark with the impression, part of that due to the fact that nothing was going on with Bill Clinton at the time. He was a new President and this cold open was based on the Universal Health Care. The phone calls got funnier toward the end, but this was pretty middle of the road.

Monologue: 1/2*
Marisa says that she actually won the Academy Award for My Cousin Vinny and gives a few awards she also "won." Then, she gives some insider secrets about New York that fell completely flat. This really should have ended before she started talking about New York.

Paradox: ***
I actually really enjoyed how this commercial had that one group always going outside the box. I have a feeling this might be the best commercial of the season, even if it was nothing special.

Court TV: **1/2
This particular look into the Simpson Trial was really good this time around. Myers stole the sketch. McKean almost ruined it when interacting with Tomei.

Piercing Today: *1/2
The piercings were nothing short of grotesque. Kevin's decision to step down from Update sure backfired, huh?

Weekend Update: ***
Best jokes were: twenty strikes and you're out, Ford, Christie Brinkley/Billy Joel, Cats, diners/restaurants, David Hasselhoff, John Bobbitt.

Wasn't that much of a fan of Meadows' Update commentary. Cool Guy went on for a tiny bit too long. Aside from that, Norm's first really good Update.

Sex Education Seminar: **
Were Myers and Tomei really necessary in the Sex Education Seminar sketch? Why couldn't Tomei just did Janeane's role? I got moderate laughs from Farley and Sandler doing their usual antics, but this seemed like a sketch half-written.

Daily Affirmation with Stuart Smalley: 1/2*
Loved the OJ joke in Daily Affirmation. Saved it from a DUD.

Monsters of Monologue 94: DUD
Another bit of foreshadowing that should have been evident to the writers after this commercial: maybe no more boxer sketches.

Bobby Camilari's Bridal Fair: DUD
Another commercial that was a waste of time.

Framingham High School Fall Mixer: **1/2
A slow start killed any hope of this sketch being above average, though things got funny right at the end of the sketch (before Meadows' strange appearance that turned this sketch into a homocentric one).

Episode MVP: Norm MacDonald.
The first of many this season.

Final Thoughts:
Another weak effort with a better Update than the season premiere, but a much worse host.
