In reply to: I think of them as funny comedic actors but neither of them 's message, "Knowing Michaela Watkins and Casey Wilson more from other stuff, they seem like odd choices for SNL." on 15:15:38 05/30/17 Tue

I think SNL did itself a grave disservice by firing Casey and Michaela. I know that SNL had a sever Wiig problem that kicked into overdrive basically when Poehler left, but a couple of capable, funny, older women to provide some depth would have been godsend compared to the under-experienced and overmatched Abby Elliott, Jenny Slate and Nasim Pedrad. I hate SNL's habit off shipping people out after one season simply because they didn't hit huge. Tim Robinson had a very solid first year, but because he hadn't QUITE won over the audience, boom, he's gone and the show is now trying to sell Mike O'Brien, Brooks Wheelan and John Milheiser. The tends to sit on its hands with things, but when its too hasty, as it was with Watkins, Wilson and Robinson, it can lead to self-inflicted wounds like the suspect 09-10 and 13-14 seasons.
