Subject: I just rewatched the Lin-Manuel Miranda episode and that episode should not be nominated for an Emmy
In reply to: member of SNL 's message, "In the eyes of the Emmys, it seems like Alec Baldwin is considered a cast" on 15:38:16 07/11/17 Tue

I realize Miranda probably got the nomination because of everything ELSE he's done, but really, what did he do in that episode that was worthy of an Emmy nomination? He had a pretty good monologue and that was it. His performances in the rest go the show were pretty bad (except I guess in the "Diego Calls His Mom" short, and that was pre-filmed). In fact there were quite a few sketches that were downright bad (the campground sketch, the sketch where he played a teacher, the wartime sketch with Pete Davidson). Overall it wasn't a very good episode. I can understand Hanks and Chappelle getting nominated, but it seems like Miranda just got nominated because of who he is and not the quality of the actual episode.
