Subject: Re: That Willy Wonka sketch
In reply to: the Willy Wonka sketch, so never mind 's message, "...and one of them is WS (Seidell). Also, just reminded that Bornstein and Pete co-wrote" on 15:44:43 10/01/17 Sun

This week I saw John Mulaney perform his latest stand-up hour (on his "Kid Gorgeous" tour) and he had a bit about Willy Wonka which was extremely similar to this sketch. Down to Charlie getting angry at Grandpa Joe when he realizes he can walk, etc. Mulaney's bit escalated to Charlie beating Grandpa Joe with the wooden spoon his mother uses to stir laundry with (lol). But I was just surprised by the similarity between his bit and the sketch. I'm sure it is just a case of parallel thinking.
