Subject: If memory serves the actress wanted to leave the show. They killed off her character off most likely for two reasons. First for the slam bang finish to the season and secondly so she couldnt change her mind and come back

Yes, Sasha Alexander wanted to leave the show, because of the hard work it takes to produce a show of this nature. Sasha Alexander was critized a few months later when she ended up on the cast of Mission Impossable III. A lot of people were mad at her because she said the stress of NCIS was killing her, but she went to work for a more stressful job.
