It took me awhile to like Ziva. At first I thought Cote de Pablo was trying to out act Sasha Alexander and was trying to hard to fit into an pretty well establish cast, but was still in the development stages.

AS the season went on I have come to like Cote de Pablo and her character Ziva. I can not say I think she is better then Sasha Alexander for sevceral reasons. Alexander left before we had a time to establish a true relatioship with her and the rest of the cast, therfore I don't think Kate had a time to develop yet.

Of all the times to make a transtion I feel the third season was the best time for it. Ziva had to catch up a little bite, but she came in at a time when the rest of the cast was still developing their characters. Pablo was not a new character line, but she was replacing a main character's role, which can make or break a show. If we would have had time to develop a better relationship with Kate then I don't think the transtion would have gone as smooth. At this point if anyone of the main characters leaves the show, I feel they just wrote the dealth of the show. No matter how good someone is I don't think they can pull off Gibbs the way Harmon does know. I dont thing even writting another character story line to replace Gibbs can be possible, and that goes for any of the main cast members.

As for Kate versus Ziva, it's sort of like Mac and Meg of Jag.

it all depends at what level you want your characters to act.

Kate was played as a mature character who loved the socialization of being in a group that played together, unlike her time in the secrect service where no one talk.

Kate also was more of an equal to Tony. She dealt with him on an adult level. She welcomed his attention because it showed her that Tony liked her quite a bit. They played well together.

One of the best shows was when they were in the isolation ward. She stayed with him even though she didn't have to. I think she definitely could have been a love interest for Tony in the future if she had stayed.

Killing Kate off I think hurts the show besides the fact she can never come back. It forced Ziva to kill her brother.

What person kills a brother? Would you really want to love that person?


As for Ziva she is cute and funny, but she, unlike Kate, isn't really a potential love interest for Tony though she appears to have a crush on him.

She's too much like a younger sister to Tony. Someone who is cute, fun to have around, but her Israeli background scares him.

I, for one, like both Kate and Ziva. I would like to have them both on the show. Get rid of McGee, the Director, and even Gibbs.

i cant bel,ieve u would seriously even consider getting rid of gibbs!! there wouldbe no show with out him. And i like the fact that Zeva is like a younger sister. It kind of make them family like Gibbs the dad ducky Granfather Zeva sis and Abbi auntie and Mcguee little brother
