Subject: Hey, Heather! Yeah, the two episodes from JAG weren't ever intended to be in this set. They'll probably be in the appropriate JAG season set instead.
In reply to: Heather... stopping in to say hi... Hi KR :) 's message, "I bought mine a Walmart... the so called "spin-offs" aren't in the set. And I noticed no bloopers.... I love the bloopers. But it was nice to watch without commercail interruptions." on 17:04:29 06/18/06 Sun

[> [> [> That's the cool thing, no commercials! But Netflix obviously made a mis-print, because it states it includes the pilot. Not real happy with them anyway.... -- Ryne's Mom, 12:26:21 06/19/06 Mon [1]

[Edit]

[> [> [> [> Pilot refers to the first episode of the series. It doesn't refer to the de facto pilot 2-parter on JAG. -- KatRose, 14:40:01 06/19/06 Mon [1]

[Edit]

[> [> [> [> [> I just have to say that if I'm buying a Season 1 DVD, I would *assume* that yes, hello!, it does include the pilot episode, because the "pilot" is the first episode of Season 1, right? Right. LOL So why on earth *mention* at ALL that a Season 1 DVD includes a pilot episode --- that's a given. Like saying you're car will come with tires. BUT .... if a DVD for a show like NCIS made a special point of saying that the Season 1 DVD includes the pilot, like it's some big deal, then I personally would think it meant the JAG introductory episodes. (Is anybody understanding me? LOL) ..... Now, that being said, I must admit that I don't know how the advertisement/description was written, but I can see that sometimes they are confusing! -- AmyLynn .... yeah, time to go home, after spending all day in an office with NO AIR CONDITIONING!!!, 14:53:53 06/19/06 Mon [1]

[Edit]

[> [> [> [> [> [> The Netflix description says: Disc 1: This disc contains the episodes pilot, "Yankee White," "Hung Out to Dry," "Seadog" and "The Immortals." They did something similar for Party of Five: Disc 1: This disc includes the following episodes: pilot, "Homework," "Good Sports," "Worth Waiting For" and "All's Fair." It appears that what they're doing is giving a name to the pilot episode ... and assuring their customers that the pilot episode (the first episode of the SERIES) is included on the disk. It could be because there are some shows, like Battlestar Galactica, where the initial showing is actually a miniseries and then it had a pilot episode of the series itself. -- KatRose, 21:33:37 06/19/06 Mon [1]

[Edit]

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> Aha. Well this is why we tell you everything, so you can answer the questions we didn't know we had. LOL You know *everything*, Kat! I'm going to the site to check their grammar & punctuation. (Yes, I'm that anal. LOL) If they have the words "pilot episode" and a comma, it would indicate to me that the pilot episode is separate from the name that follows, if everything else that follows is separated by commas. (Anybody following *that*, LOL) If the title of the pilot episode is in parenthesis, then it is easy to see what they mean by "pilot" episode. ..... In any case, I know what I mean and I'm going to check it out. LOL ..... I think I need more caffeine. -- AmyLynn, 07:12:32 06/20/06 Tue [1]

[Edit]

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> Well. I couldn't get a list of episodes to come up on Netflix. Perhaps it's because I'm not a member. The site just gave me general info about the DVD and asked me to join. So I went to DVDFlix and they did have an episode listing of sorts. Under "Special Features" it gave the titles of the first four episodes. (I ask, is that *really* a "special feature"????) ... My recon has been thwarted!! LOL -- AmyLynn ... uh, I'm still waiting for the caffeine people, unless there are *some* who think I don't need it!!!! LOL, 07:44:03 06/20/06 Tue [1]

[Edit]

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> Special features on NCIS are: Creating Season one,
Building the Team,
Defining the Look,
and audio commentary on "Yankee White" by DPB.
-- KatRose, 13:07:15 06/20/06 Tue [1]

[Edit]

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> See, *those* are special features. I don't know what's up with DVDFlix! LOL -- AmyLynn, 13:18:02 06/20/06 Tue [1]

[Edit]

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> I'd never heard of DVDFlix until you mentioned it above. I use TVShowsOnDVD.com and Joblo's Move Emporium for most of my DVD news. -- KatRose, 15:01:43 06/20/06 Tue [1]

[Edit]

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> Me either, I've only heard of Netflix. Then I Googled "NCIS season 1 DVD" and a bunch of stuff came up. Believe me, I have no clue what I'm doing, I just search and see what I find. LOL -- AmyLynn, 06:39:13 06/21/06 Wed [1]

[Edit]

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> AmyLynn, you've been making perfect sense to me, whether you're on caffeine overload or not. Even the heat hasn't affected your quest for clarity. And thank you to Kat for listing the 'extras.' Has anyone watched them? Are they well done? I love audio commentaries in general. -- judy, 12:31:54 06/21/06 Wed [1]

[Edit]

[> [> [> [> [> [> TVShowsOnDVD.com has this to say about the JAG/NCIS episodes: Unfortunately there isn't any mention of including the JAG episodes that kicked off the series on this set, and with the running time of 1009 mins, that seems very unlikely. -- KatRose, 21:35:52 06/19/06 Mon [1]

[Edit]

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> Thanks for the clarification, Kat. I just wanted to see those two JAG/NCIS eps again from the NCIS perspective. -- Ryne's Mom, 05:35:12 06/20/06 Tue [1]
