Subject: Etymology of the Caudill Name
In reply to: Cheryl Lynn Caudill 's message, "Caudill" on 13:55:10 10/27/04 Wed

Hi Cheryl,

The name Caudill has no connection with the Spanish word caudillo. I've written extensively on this topic and have a best-selling book available on this very subject, if you're interested. It's called "THE CAUDILLS: AN ETYMOLOGICAL & ETHNOLOGICAL STUDY."
