If he ran unopposed as were the two on the Board of Education, he would be in. If two Republicans ran against the Board of Education tax and spenders the two Democrats would have lost as well. Actually, this had nothing to do with the two tickets, it had everything to do with the people in town making their own decisions and letting the candidates know their position at the polls. This is democracy, this is freedom of speech. David, do you really believe that I had any influence in these results? Look at your position with Mr. MacInnes, and your last minute change of heart. Did it affect the outcome? You wanted MacInnes and you changed your mind just because you did not get one response from him on this site. I don’t have any answer as to the reasons but, what if Webb was elected, did you affect the outcome? You alluded to her as liberal tax and spender. Would you have screwed us in the process if she were elected? Why did Mr. Jones lose his bid? He was against the teacher’s contract; he is very well known in town and has been for many years. Why didn’t the people elect him over Webb who waffled on every point? I just don’t see any correlation in the results. I do agree with you regarding your previous post, of the possible illegalities on lack of official notice to the taxpayers and residents on the town vote being moved to Ann Antonioni and that along with the complete ignoring of the full elector of all absentee ballot residents. That could very well be a critical item that could pull the entire contract back with an injunction rendering the vote illegal, null & void. That means all the taxpayers could get a shot at the polls. Every resident will bear the brunt of the carelessness in handling of the teacher’s contract. The three who made it happen and the Superintendent that sold the town a bill of goods!
