First, I doubt very much that Bruce would say anything derogatory about Jews. Like I say, when you got a name like Gresczyk you want to keep your ethnic slurs to a minimum. Also, when he was First Selectman, I published a series of cartoons about him, calling him "Selectman Electus" a Neanderthal relic living in Town Hall. I can think of plenty of names, ethnic and otherwise he could have called me, but he didn't. He laughed at the cartoon and seemed to enjoy it.

Second, I very much got the inuendo that this was about Phyllis' Jewishness. I was not playing the game, however, as I wanted someone to say in plain English what this was about. Nobody did until you.

Third,the fact that this came out the day before the election, when there is little time to correct the facts is really really suspect. It clearly came from Earl's camp. The poster even said it came from an email to Earl. Clearly this is a last ditch attempt by someone to defame Gresczyk. I don't think Earl is trying to win; I just think he is trying to make Jerram lose.

Finally, do you have any idea what was allegedly said? That is really what I was trying to find out here. I really doubt a savvy politician like Gresczyk would make an inane comment in public, which was an ethnic slur which could get picked up by the opposition. You have to be very naive to do something that stupid, and Gresczyk is not naive.
