Everything this 'teacher' said makes me wince at the idea of teachers as 'professionals.' I can't believe this person would brag about job security and the three best reasons for teaching: June, July and August in this economy. This person is obviously out of touch.

But, no matter, Pres. Obama wants education from birth on (from last night's state of the union address). He also wants to pour money into education, so that our little teacher here doesn't lose...ahem...job security. So, sadly, someone who is teaching our kids grammar such as, "you are = your" is going to be educating children to compete in a dog-eat-world. Maybe they can pay someone in India to correct their spelling and grammar when they grow up.
