Homeschooling is a family choice and should remain one for families who choose this option. It is an excellent option for families who are committed to making this an educational option for their children. My understanding of the CA case is that it dealt with other issues like possible child abuse/neglect, and that while the family said they were homeschooling the youngsters, there were other issues. From what I understood, the students were not being homeschooled....they were being kept home and not in a particularly good situation. The judges ruling was for THIS case, and it is the media that hyped it into saying that CA students were not going to be allowed to be homeschooled.
