Subject: What would a Space Cadet do?
In reply to: CJ Fan 's message, "Don't be so sure" on Monday, March 10, 11:36:29pm

I am in modified agreement with Chris.

If the space cadets were really interested in preserving open space, and not just protecting their view, the 202 property is exactly what they should be looking to buy. It is enevitable that this will be developed, and probably sooner than later.

However, having said that, commercial development will bring tax dollars to the town, and there is no issue of packing the schools with children. Not that there is with residential development, since New Hartford averages only .42 children per residence anyway. Both kinds of development bring in tax dollars to the town.
