Subject: More Space Cadet Lies

Our old friend Bart, AKA Facts, has recently reappeared on this board with phoney facts and gratuitous insults. After the BOS meeting, I now see that Facts truly belongs in that group of psycho fanatics, true believers who will probably do physical damage to the property of those they disagree with as we have already seen in New Hartford.

Most of Fact's diatribe is just a long senseless ramble, similar to the argument most of the space cadets were emulating at the BOS meeting. Most of it isn't worth responding to, but I will respond to the following "facts" from Facts:

"You need to get your facts right. Every open space purchase requires a referendum. There is however, a town meeting prior to the referendum, to explain what's on the agenda for the vote. Purchases of open space have NEVER been decided at a town meeting. On this, as in every other aspect of your argument, you are just plain wrong. And everyone else who reads this needs to pay close attention. Dave is just a windbag, he spouts baseless rhetoric. Don't believe a word he says, because he nothing to back it up with. It's not true or factual."

In actual fact, not in the never-never land of Space Cadets, the initial $1.5M bonding for Open Space was voted on by a referendum. However, so far, NOT ONE SINGLE Open Space purchase has gone to referendum. Not one. Now, all of a sudden, the Space Cadets are indignant that the town is being denied "Democratic Process" because Phillips Farm may not go to referendum. Where were these clowns when the other purchases were not sent to referendum?

The Space Cadets claim of lack of democratic procss is an argument of convenience. They only care about democracy when it is in their interest to care. Otherwise they are very happy ramming through their agenda any way they can.
