Subject: Irene to Hit New Hartford

Go to the interactive weather map at weather.com and have a look-see. The EYE of Irene is scheduled to pass over New Hartford, crossing 202, bisecting Hoppin Road, cutting through Steele Rd, and going right by Town Hall. Since the eye was reported to be 22 miles in diameter, that means the whole town is going to get it. I guess the good news is that it will only be a tropical storm, not a hurricane by that point. Right now, as I type, the eye is off the coast of Deleware.
