Wacko eh. Hey David, what ever blows up your dress. Earl is the man he spearheaded the vote on the teachers contracts in the first place. Earl also nixed the town garage and holds the aces on the Phillips farm. Give him a chance he has not taken office yet. This Thanksgiving we all should be thankful that David had little or no political influence on the past election.

>>>Okay, Earl so you are saying you won on a platform of
>>>fiscal conservativism. If I had really believed that,
>>>I would have voted for you, but I did not. Anyway,
>you
>>>now can prove me wrong, and frankly, I would like
>>>nothing better.
>>>
>>>First, if you really are a fiscal conservative,
>please
>>>do not come up with more ways to spend our money.
>Give
>>>up this idea of a senior center. We already have one
>>>that serves its purpose. We don't need to spend money
>>>to dublicate existing resources. Hopefully all your
>>>talk about that was merely campaign rhetoric, and
>now,
>>>you are prepared to give up that idea.
>>>
>>>Second, show some damn leadership on the Phillips
>>>Pharm Phiasco. Come out against it. Leadership means
>>>going into combat at the front of the troops, not at
>>>the rear. You successfully avoided taking a stand
>>>during the campaign, but you got the votes, so you
>can
>>>now come out of the closet. If you are a fiscal
>>>conservative, SPEAK THE HELL UP on this issue.
>>>
>>>Third, and possibly most important, this recent
>>>teacher contract vote needs to be investigated. There
>>>were several irregularities that I observed, and I
>>>wonder how many more there were. I have problems with
>>>this vote and how it occurred, and am happy to share
>>>them with you:
>>>
>>>1. The meeting was posted for Town Hall. Yet it was
>>>ajourned to Antolini without public notice. I wonder
>>>how legal this is. Perhaps you should have a talk
>with
>>>town counsel.
>>>
>>>2. I was one of the first to leave the town hall and
>>>arrive at Antolini. When I got there, the auditorium
>>>was ALREADY packed with teachers and mommies. Three
>>>quarters of the place was full. Somebody knew in
>>>advance that the meeting would be ajourned to
>>>Antolini, and the majority of the pro union people
>>>were already there, seated and ready to vote.
>>>
>>>If the Union knew this, why wasn't the meeting
>>>scheduled for Antolini in the first place.
>>>
>>>3. Families I know with kids tell me that a notice of
>>>this meeting was sent back with the kids the week
>>>before the meeting. I wonder if public (school) money
>>>was used for this purpose and if that was legal.
>>>Again, Earl, you are in a position to do something.
>>>Talk to town counsel. Perhaps you can go to court and
>>>get an order to revote ont his contract.
>>>
>>>4. I am wondering if anyone out there is willing to
>be
>>>a plaintiff in a suit against the School Board for
>any
>>>of the above reasons or because 1, they missed the
>>>opportunity to vote because the meeting was moved to
>>>another location with out notice, 2. no provision was
>>>made for absentee ballots, again improper notice and
>>>planning, 3, they showed up late and didn't realize
>>>the meeting had been moved to Antolini, 4. they were
>>>unable to attend the meeting and no provision had
>been
>>>made for other means to vote.
>>>
>>>And then there is the little matter of the fact that
>>>all the mommies were already seated when everyone
>else
>>>started to arrive. The fact that there weren't
>>>adequate seats for the majority of those who would
>>>vote against this makes me wonder if that wasn't part
>>>of the union strategy.
>>>
>>>Come on, Earl. You are now the town leader. You can
>>>actually do something about these issues. Are you
>>>really a fiscal conservative or was that merely an
>>>election gimmick.
>>
>>David, I would suggest you contact Phyllis and place
>>the same demands on her as you did Earl. What’s good
>>for the goose is good for the gander.
