The kids and I enjoyed a morning of skiing at Sundown. Last week, before Sundown opened we went to Jimmeny Peak and that was super. There were six trails opened at Sundown, and unfortunately, Gunbarrel wasn't one of them.Open were Canyon Run, Tempter, Noreaster, Stinger, and I think some bunny slopes. Not much variety, and despite the fact that they didn't give any discount on the ticket the place started to get crowded around 11:00, so we packed up shortly after that.

Sundown is the reason I moved to New Hartford. I do wish they would offer a Season Ticket at a reasonable price for those living in New Hartford. A family season ticket, since if I go, it is never by myself. Butternut's season ticket costs about $300. Sundown's is about $800.

I do believe in supporting our local businesses, but it would be nice if they gave some consideration to New Hartford Residents.
