Is anyone here a STEPS expert? On the 'Last Dance' CD album, the version of 'Tragedy' doesn't have the 5,6,7,8 sample, but is still listed as the 'Recetion mix'. Is this a missprint or something. Hi, exact the "reception mix " does not have the 5678 sample as on the single cd. It is probably to get people buy the "last dance" cd...Just to have an unreleased track!!!! The WIP mix of summer of love on the last dance is also different than the one on the CD-Single! anyone noticed? and i remember about the reception mix of Tragedy... the timings on the last dance cd aren't correct.well at least not on mine.i have a promo cd with at lest 5 mistakes re. timings. like the Deeper Shade of Blue Edit (7min ...).Also the Tragedy Timing is wrong. the correct timing is about 6.27.Have u got the digipack or the one in the jewel-case? the cd with the jewel case has correct timings. Dead Or Alive US Wipe Out Mix of My Heart Goes Bang : where was it previously available ? I mean I have the American Wipe Out Mix but it is longer than this US mix !!! And what about the Brand New Lover 4.45, shorter than the album version... Same for what is supposed to be the 12" of Lover come back to me, again shorter of 30s compared to the original... I know it is really poor , we wait all this time for The Greatest Hits collection and we get a bunch of dodgy old pa edits , no "Brand new lover" seven inch , no "I'll save you all my kisses" seven inch , they give us the performance mix of "Spin me" (which you can already get on the "Youthquake" cd ) when the label says it's the Murder mix.I'm very dissapointed!!. Yes, but like the version found on the Aussie "Boogie Trax" collection, the sound quality is pretty bad - you can literally hear the vinyl "master" spinning in the periphery. If I buy a CD, I want digital quality, not something I can "master" myself at home! (NT) -- McFBA, 29 Jun 2003, 19:11:04

Murder Mix also available on "HI-NRG Dance Classics Vol. 1". This version sounds very clean to me and is a Sony special products release still available on CDNOW.com for only $8.99 US. There's an interview with Mike Stock on page 185 of Channel 4's teletext. He says he's already recorded the follow up to FFSong and that they are going to record a "party album". The Beach Mix is a much brighter and fuller mix. In the original mix, Sonia's vocals (and the BV) have more echo and reverb on them, the Beach mix brings them up to front more, also they appear to have brought the horns more to front and made them clearer. The 100% legit & available mixes I know are Radio mix, WIP mix(Both on single), DBop saturday nite club mix(Which was on a DBOP showreel CD). As for the others - I never heard the rumour of a sleazesisters mix, but its possible it was remixed and not promoed. I agree with what you are saying - lack of success can come down to many reasons. One point I have to make though is - the songwriting & production coming out of PWL isnt what it could be.
