I just returned home from Tifton and I must say...this year's pageant was another great success!!

I want to thank my Lord and Savior for everything He has given me thus far in life. I feel truly blessed to have represented Chatham County and to also have this experience.

Mrs. Candace - I honestly do not know what I would have done without you! You are the best friend, back-stage-mom, director anyone could ever ask for! Thank you for EVERYTHING!!! I can't wait to see what else you have in store for us this year!! I love you to pieces!

To ALL of the Miss Contestants - I had a wonderful time meeting all of you and getting to spend this wonderful opportunity with you. You are all beautiful girls from the inside and out!!! I love you all and I hope to see you soon!!

To Katie, Kaylin, Kelsey, & Gargie (Mrs. Vickie) - Thank you so much for coming and rooting me on! It was so wonderful to walk out on that stage and hear my name being screamed! It made me feel like a movie star! (haha) Katie - Thank you so much for coming and doing my hair and makeup! That was such a HUGE stress relief! I love you and your girls SO VERY MUCH!!!

Jonna - You were such a wonderful Queen this past year! Your personality and that beautiful smile shined with you through everything! Thank you for being such a wonderful friend!! I will always remember that priceless look last year when they called out your name as the 2006 Miss Georgia Forestry Queen!! I love you to the moon and back!!

Mrs. Lydia, Mrs. April, Mrs. Millicent, Mrs. Kim, & Mrs. Victoria - I love each of you more than you will every know! It was so encouraging to see your smiling faces everywhere we went! If you ever need a judge or emcee for a pageant, please don't hesitate to call!

To the 2007 Miss GA Forestry Queens - Wear your crowns proudly and remember that you are representing one of the best pageant organizations in the state! Have fun throughout your reign!

And last but CERTAINLY NOT LEAST - To my family - I love you all more than you will ever know! You are truly my rock and I don't know what I would do without you in my life! You have always supported me in whatever CRAZY idea I had! Thank you!!!

I forgot to mention in my earlier message about state two very special girls in my life...Kelsey and Kyndal Leggett! These two girls have become part of the Chatham County Forestry Queen family and I love them to pieces!! Good luck girls!! I am going to be right there rooting for you!!! The Teen and Miss Contestants are having a really good time. They had a three hour rehearsal today, participated in an awesome parade, toured the Georgia Agrirama and attended a reception in their honor. I am sure they have all hit the swimming pool by now.

We hope to have pictures up later tonight of some of todays activities.

Lookout!!! Stars from all over Hollywood will be joining us at the Performing Arts Center at the Tift County High School!

The 68th Annual Miss Georgia Forestry Pageant Presents
An Evening with Georgia's Shining Stars
June 16, 2007
Teen Miss 5:00 P.M. Miss 8:00 P.M.
Doors will open at 4:00 P.M. Tickets will be sold at the door! The Teen contestants will begin arriving at the theatre at 3:30 P.M. by limousine followed by the Miss contestants.
Special Guest Smokey Bear and Mr. Rick Hatten of the Georgia Forestry Commmission will give the welcome and crown our new Miss Georgia Forestry Queen
Master of Ceremonies Chris Beckhum
Featuring
South Central Dance Academy
Miss Georgia Forestry Jonna Wilson
Teen Miss Georgia Forestry Laurel Higginbotham
Junior Miss Georgia Forestry Savannah Morris
Little Miss Georgia Forestry Madison Green
and your Teen and Miss Georgia Forestry Contestants

Teen and Miss will have interviews on Friday and Saturday. You will see the Teen and Miss contestants in the opening production and in evening gown competition. After the judges select the top 10 in each age group, the top 10 will have a sit down interview onstage.

Teen and Miss will have rehearal Thursday. They will tour the Georgia Agrirama, participate in a parade and reception in their honored sponsored by the City and the Tift County Tourism. Friday, the Miss contestants will attend a treefarm tour sponsored by the Georgia Forestry Commission and Friday night is the famous Georgia Forestry Formal Ball for the Teen and Miss contestants. Come prepared to be dined by one of Georgia's best caterers and bring your dance shoes to enjoy the evening with one of Georgia's best DJ's.

All I can say....Teen and Miss contestants, you are in for a fun time this weekend!!!

The Georgia Forestry Pageant will be joining forces with the Georgia Forestry Association with the Project Learning Tree. Our newly crowned 2007 Teen and Miss Georgia Forestry Queens will attend the Project Learning Tree Workshop in August. This is an awesome opportunity for Teen and Miss Georgia Forestry. They will actually be going in the school systems across the state working with a new curriculm called Project Learning Tree. We will have more on this after this weekend.

Let me first start off by saying thank you to everyone who made this pageant a success. I have a few people I'd like to thank that helped my mom and I...

Mrs. Chasity- You are a hoot! I REALLY enjoyed meeting you and getting to know you over the weekend.

Mrs. Lacey- You were my life saver this weekend!!! I DO NOT KNOW WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE WITHOUT YOU! You barely knew me and did everything you could do to make me beautiful! Thank you SO much!

Mrs. Katie, Kyndal, Kelsey, Kaylin and Mrs. Gargie- WHOA! Where do I start? Thank you so much for letting us follow and hang out with ya'll all weekend. Ya'll are truly amazing. I love ya'll so much and I PROMISE that I will stay in touch with ya'll. I'll be coming to see ya'll soon but only Kaylin knows why (and she better not tell!)

Mrs. Karen- Thank you so much for the safety pins and for helping me with my lasso. You are amazing!

Mrs. Angie- Thank you for 'touching me up' everytime I needed you to and thank you for putting up with mine and Hannah's singing. Tell Beth I said thank you for holding my hand when I just needed to 'chill' and for taking that slim jim away from me!! I love you girl!

Hannah Anderson- I hope you get to feeling better. You are a tough little girl and I hope I get to see you this coming weekend.

Heather- Thank you for helping me with my costume. I don't know what I would have done without you!!

Mrs. Teressa and Laurel- I don't know what to say.. we've been through it all.. I am going to miss ya'll so much!

Mrs. Misty and Mrs. Candace- ya'll were so much fun to be around this weekend and I can't wait to do it all again!

Brittany Powell and Stephanie Hill- Thank you so much for keeping my mom company during the pageant. She really enjoyed being around ya'll. Ya'll are amazing girls and will do great this weekend. If there is ANYTHING, I can ever do for ya'll, please let me know.

To the Teeny, Tiny, Little, and Junior Miss contestants- Thank you so much for letting me get to know you this weekend. Everyone of you are special to me and I hope I made you a little more comfortable backstage. Ya'll are all beautiful and ya'll are all winners! Anyone could have won and I sure am glad I wasn't a judge!

To the Teen and the Miss contestants-
You have a busy weekend ahead of you.. sleep while you can! Pack comfortable clothes and lots of Benadryl (you won't want to go to sleep and you won't be able to because of your nerves but YOU HAVE TO so take some just in case)! Bring back up interview suits and back up dresses, just in case, you NEVER know what may happen. Watch the news this week, on the way to Tifton and in Tifton, you will be glad you did! If anyone of you need anything, a dress, bobby pins, interview help, whatever.. please come find me or Laurel. We've been in your shoes and we know what you are going through. We are here to help so don't hesitate!!

Wow! What a great weekend I had at All American Miss. Thank you Ms. Janice for putting together such a fun pageant!
This was my first AAM National, & it will greatly be remembered. First of all, I would like to thank Ms. Lacey
for always making me pretty, to Toni O & Kapture Kashay for wonderful pictures and to my wonderful coach Ms. Angie.
I could not have done this without each of you. I love you all from the bottom of my heart! To all of my buddies.....
Hannah Miles, congrats on your Divisional Supreme title, and being my roommate again, I can't wait until the next.
Congrats to Kelly Ann, Mallory, Morgan, RaeAnn, Deanna, Megan, Hannah, Stella, and Dakota on all of the many wins that
everyone won. Congratulations to all of the other contestants and remember we are all winners in God's Heart!!

Wish me luck this weekend at Georgia State Forestry!!
