I have a 1989 god sierra 1500. When I turn my head lights on, my tail lights don't work. If I turn my headlights off, the tail lights work perfect. Brake lights are not working at all!!! The taillights/caseing are brand new. I put the original lights back in and it didn't work either.. thanks

Sounds like your turn signal switch.

Turn the key on and get kind of aggessive with the blinker switch. Work the blinker switch left and right, left and right multiple times and have someone watch your taillights.

Had a buddy at work having a problem with his brake lights after changing the rear receptacles. As he was walking out of the shop I told him I could tell him what it was without getting out of my chair. Sure enough when I went over there and worked his turn signal switch back and forth I got them working. Changed the switch and no more issues.
