    - The Rodeway is a definite no. Blech. Same with the Best Value Inn. The Wellesley Inn is. . . well, it's pretty much the same distance as the Holiday Inn you were looking at, just on the other side of the highway. The Radisson is really nice--great location, but also really expensive. If you're willing to spend that much, try the new Hilton on 4th street--it's actually a little cheaper than the Radisson. Any of you gels back yet? I've just had the most unhelpful email from the Holiday Inn! Asked what sort or transport was in the area as I don't drive. got this as a reply - I imagine you can find several means of transportation including bus, plane or train. Yeah very helpful! - The best advice on where to stay that i can give is to pick a place that is either in downtown, or very near downtown. I know that they are more expensive in downtown, but on the other hand, you would be in walking distance to all the places downtown, like Stubbs for example. Perhaps try the Austin motel, I know Sarah recommended it, or the hyatt, the omni, the doubletree, the mariott, or the La Quinta downtown. (more) -- AJ, 12:08:16 07/06/04 Tue

        Actually, they're really not all that far apart, and they're both about the same distance from the airport. Try searching for hotels on Tavelocity.com---if you find something you like or want to know about, send me the address and I'll let you know how close it is and if it's worth the trouble.         Honestly, I'd try to get into the Austin Motel. It's within walking distance from downtown, which is where all the nighttime activity will be happening, plus it's on a main road, so there are plenty of busstops to be found (though AJ's really the one to talk to about that as she's actually had to use the bus and I haven't).
