Subject: Yeah, we don't get stars here, either. At least, not in central Texas. Maybe out west, where there are fewer towns. I was terrified of the dark when I was a kid--I was practically a teenager before I made myself learn to sleep without a nightlight, so being surrounded by all that darkness was more than a bit scary. I don't know that I could sleep in that--I've got a security floodlight outside my window, and the highway not far off, so it's never dark. I'd probably need some sort of light.
In reply to: vx 's message, "Stars? What are they? The pollution and street lighting make it near on impossible to see stars here. Even at home, its not like it used to be. Er not too sure about the darkness though, that would be way too scary for me" on 10:07:50 07/09/04 Fri

I used to be a bit scared of the dark after a scary movie - if I had to go to the loo in the night, I'd drag the light cord as far as it would go towards the bedroom and then run light hell. -- vx, 10:29:56 07/09/04 Fri

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> LOL--scary movies tend to have that effect on people. I was like that for a while--having to dangle a sock over the light on my stereo's clock because it was too bright, but I've had to get used to a bit of light, so now I don't know what I'd do without it. -- Dhvana, 10:37:25 07/09/04 Fri
