I may need help form you regarding my baggage - I think I can claim but, I need written confirmation from the Airline(s) involved. I'll have to speak to the insurers and see whether I can do it. I've got a reference number so it should be relatively easy to get sorted

Is it just the lock that's damaged? Or did you find some stuff was missing?

the insurer will pay up to £150 for the emergency replacement of clothing medication and toiletries if the baggage is temporarily lost in transit during the outward journey and not returned to you in 12 hours blah blah blah.

YOu're probably right though, still it can't hurt to try can it?
