Subject: Morning Miss V! Saw Van Helsing last night, and then we stayed for the midnight showing of Troy....

Van Helsing was complete and utter crap from beginning to end. Poor Willie! Though I am grateful that most of his scenes were done in a loincloth. And the few naked Hugh scenes were nice, but weren't near enough to make up for the crap that was the rest of the movie. And the final scene of him as the werewolf holding the girl (glad she died, by the way)--can we say someone was getting in a little last minute werewolf nookie? That was just wrong in so many ways. My god, what a terrible movie. Too boring to be any good, too repetitious for me to care, and I hope to hell the Lord of the Rings cast teases Davie for his entire role but especially the jester's outfit. Still, he was pretty much the highlight of the movie. Well, him and Will. ;) I mean, I knew it was going to suck going into it, I just didn't know how much.

As for Troy, I was too tired, and therefore too cynical, to truly enjoy it--so I'll have to see it again. It was wonderful, though. Brad, Eric, Orli, Sean--just a beautiful bunch of men, and all in one movie! What a joy. ;) Poor Orli needs to eat something, though, and get some sleep--you could count his ribs, for crissake! And the circles under his eyes were almost as bad as mine, LOL--and he had make-up to try and cover them. Still, he did a beautiful job playing a cowardly little shit. I cried over Eric. I drooled over Brad. It was worth it.

[> Hey MIss D, say it like it is:0) I dunno, I don't think it was the worst film ever, there were some good parts but the script crap accents and kates clothes had a bad effect on it. No where near enough Will and as for Hugh, sadly I now realise he really can't act that well at all. -- vx, 09:06:29 05/14/04 Fri

I saw a clip of Troy, when Hecta (in joke) was fighting Achilles and Paris was looking like the traditional leading lady in a 1940's melodrama, I can't really explain it well but I know what I'm tryong to say:0)

[> [> It wasn't the worst movie in the world--it was too boring for that. We couldn't even make fun of it. It just sort of sucked all the energy out of you. -- Dhvana, 09:11:22 05/14/04 Fri

And I can't testify to Hugh's acting skills, even his one liners in this were pretty much hopeless. But definitely nowhere near enough Will. And for the costumes--come on! Dead of winter here! She should be freezing! And if she's sensible enough to wear pants, she's sensible enough to wear boots without fucking heels!

Okay, I can feel a rant coming on. Going to stop now.

LOL--hell, the clip may have been a joke, but that pretty much sums it up. ;)

Keira! Apparently she was here at 8.30 and then had to rush off for the tube. Pride and Prejudice I think it was.

Oh and George is still in 'Dammers' playing golf with Demon

And that reminds me--they had a teaser for Ocean's 12 yesterday in front of Troy. I was just sitting thinking WTF???? They're still filming!!!!!

It was all just words--they didn't show anyone. Shocked the daylights out of me for a moment, though.

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> Nah, they just had some music similar to the first movie on, and a bunch of shapes--circles and the like--moving across the screen as you read the words--talking about how we met them before, blah blah blah (no voices, just reading) and then they listed most of the cast, and then the tagline, "Twelve is the new eleven". -- Dhvana, 09:59:36 05/14/04 Fri

Humid, hotter'n hell, though it's actually been kind of nice this year, but it's still early. You might die, but we do have hospitals. I wouldn't count on you to survive, but they'll at least make an effort. ;) -- Dhvana, 10:35:31 05/14/04 Fri
