Subject: After watching prelims last nite, I think its a battle for Miss between Davidson Co. and Memphis. In the Teens I think Maryville has a good shot at the crown, with Twin Cities and Voice of Tenn being the strongest. I wish VoT would have changed her gown from last year though as those ruffles distracted from her beautiful face. West TN may sneak in for the win. What an adorable teen!

I knew Covington would not win...no matter what her rabid fans say, she is an empty, crown-chasing, pageant-patty and I think the judges see that in interview. She is very pretty though and I think that is what carries her as far as it does. But, don't worry fans, I think we will see her on the Miss Tn in June and she just might take that title since it seems to be a very weak MAO year. I don't hate Covington; she is just one of my least favorite contestants. She is so over-hyped by her mother, boyfriend, and fans that it is ridiculous. Dumbfounded over last night - of the top 5, Matthews had it won. Covington looked great, Flippen looked nervous but stood out as one of the prettiest, Didn't care for Pocock's gown, but very pretty girl---it just looked like hibler was bored and didn't want to be there. She didn't perform well at prelims or finals and I think she's going to disappoint at USA this year. So much for TN's top 10 streak. Im so confused about what I saw at both the Teen and the Miss pageants I dont even know where to begin. Ive been involved in pageants for over 20 years and was so OFF with my predictions this year that I am dumbfounded. Didnt have either winner in my Top 5. I don't understand this pageant anymore! I honestly had brittany driver atleast in top 5 if not winner. Definitely best body by far and she looked so fun on stage. She must have screwed the interview. Great stage presence but needs to improve her walk she just needs to gain experience thru prelims and return next year.. Subject: the swimsuit preview is over for teens and they are getting ready for interview. i said i wasnt going to provide updates but cant help it i have too. i will be honest with my opinions. dont bash my picks or the girls i mention and provide reviews about. just going off of what ive seen from practice and swimsuit preview. swimsuit preview just ended for the teens and here are my top teens based off of what ive seen. my honest reviews. some of the top 15 i chose earlier will certainly change but these are the gals to watch out for tonights prelims folks. one of the girls pictured here will be miss tn teen usa in my opinion. there are tons of teens but its a very weak teen year just not much to choose from. here ya have it my top picks!

holy cow batmans patootie this girl is tall and has a dynamite body. very gorgeous and could be the one to take the crown. body is killer but has an akward walk. could dark horse the top 5. very pretty.

Brittany Hammers Heart of TN Teen USA
a true looker! has a unique look that is kinda captivating. lovely presence. can see her in top 15. very good walk. has a curvy body but nicely shaped. beautiful girl.

Shields Thompson West TN Teen USA
doesnt look like her headshot but has a fantastic figure not to shabby and could be a dark horse. very tall and super lanky. walks a little straggly but she is a doll an all american cute teen. great body to say the least. overall she is a pretty girl predicting top 15 for her.

Megan Simples Maryville Teen USA
beautiful girl with a striking face. excellent hair and bodacious body. confident and very striking. could see this girl in the top 15 but that might be it. beautiful and stunning for sure. WINKY

Kailey Hollander Franklin Teen USA
was one of my picks to win this entire competition until swimsuit preview. was dissapointed with her in person. was expecting to be blown away. make up is two tone and very ghost. needs help with hair and makeup. cute girl but nothing like this photo. nice swimsuit figure for sure. but not as near striking as this photo. walk is okay but nothing spectacular. will be in top 15.

cute little red head with a super swimsuit body. walk is good with nice confidence. looks like this picture and will be in the top 15 and could squeeze in the top 5. very all american classic teen and could do very well.

the face of the teen pageant. beautiful girl with a great teen personality. nice figure and clean look. will be top 5. love this girl too and can see her at miss teen usa. billiant! WINK WINK WINK

cute girl but boring. okay figure cute with lovely dimples. okay walk with a cute presence. beautiful smile and nice teeth. top 15 for sure and could sneak in 5. a little passive when modeling. WINK

beautiful exotic dark skin and very tall. super walk and one of the top figures of the pageant. can see her in the 5. beautiful unique looking girl. WINK

what a cutie patootie! love this girl and she looks just like this photo. beautiful smile with a fantastic figure. can see her squeeze right on into the top 5. loving her fun personality and walk. love her body. not sure if she is miss teen usa type and will need a little more badam to win it, but can see it being possible. love this girl. While I personally love Tiffany Collier-Love and Miss Jackson, I don't think Greenwood will crown one of MotorSpeedway's girls. There is just too much controversy surrounding them. That being said. I think they are doing a wonderful job and appreciate that they have offered another system in which our girls can compete. I was just saying everytime you turn around you are reading or hearing something negative and that causes controversy that most folks want to stay away from. Even if it is disgruntled parents, contestants, or sponsors. They are not the only ones; I know lots of MAO prelims in which girls won't compete because their has been controversy. I did not say they wouldn't do well; I said that I thought Greenwood would avoid crowning one of the MotorSpeedway queens because there is so much controversy with them. I think Miss Jackson and Tiffany are great directors and I think they always crown lovely girls, I just think everything you read and hear is controversy, controversy, controversy. And I know that they are very controlling of their titleholders and I thought Greenwood would see this as a negative in crowning one of their girls. I would imagine Tiffany has worked with her in regards to stage presence. I don't know how much help they can give her in interview from the little bit I spoke with her last year. yep i sure did based on photo alone and nothing else. but that aint the case this year she is looking great this year and someone has surely worked with her. its a very obvious improvement. dont think she will lacks anything anymore but a crown. she has the most unique look in the teen pageant. reminds me of the year macy erwin first competed in teen. she was green and overweight. she came back that next year after working with someone and getting help and won the teen pageant. channing simmons is such a delight and very sweet. i want to be nice when i say this and honest she still needs a little work on swimsuit from what i saw at preview but i do think she will get in top 15. walk and modeling need a little bit of improvement but can be great with more time and work. liked her blue one shoulder interview dress today. she is cute but not quite miss tn teen usa yet. i do like her though. this is my honest opinion so please dont hate me im being as nice and honest about all of them. Personally I thought LaShan Mathews by far has the best body and stage presence and was my choice for our new Miss TN USA! Kendall Covington should have been in the top 5. I'm not sure what went wrong with Driver. A lot of fans placed her in top 5 yet she didn't even make 15? Thank you for posting this, always enjoy seeing crowning moments, this top 5 were all good and each one of them could have won, but I like the winner, and there is plenty of time till Miss USA 2012. If a girl is going to put herself into the spotlight...and in this case it will be a national spotlight...her AND her supporters have to take the good with the bad. Many will love her. Many will not. It's subjective and both sides have the right to post their thoughts. There is no bashing going on. So this young woman's supporters will need to grow some thicker skin. Everyones taste is different but as someone who has judged many many pageants, that dress may be "couture" but its not very pretty on her. I think teens should steer clear of red first of all but the rest of the design was distracting to her pretty face. You never really got to it. All you saw was the mounds of red stuff around her legs. I would have put her in a "safer" color and a dress that brought your eyes to her face...not her feet! Hats off the Shanna Moakler who responded on a board recently with the answer of "NO" when being asked whether someone who is 5 ft. 4 inches could win NY USA.

At least someone is open and not fooling these young women who THINK they really have a true chance of being crowned. Knowing what USA wants, it is clear that directors are not going to let certain things happen...
