WOWW!!! I haven't been here for a while and I just did check Amazon.com again. HOLY SHIT IS BEBE BUELL THE MOST OBSESSIVE LUNATIC ON THE PLANET OR WHAT !?!!?!
On even the most CASUAL first glance, any moron can see that almost all the reviews are written by the same person. A large number of them use the EXACT SAME WORDS AND PHRASES, and anyone who remembers how Bebe spent the majority of last year obsessively posting crazed messages on this board knows, they use the EXACT SAME words Bebe used over and over again.
(By the way, if anyone missed Bebe's obsessive ranting on this board, there are a couple of internet archive places where they are archived and you can read them, including some written by her multiple "aliases" that all came from the same IP address as her "real" postings, and all saying the same bullshit.)
BUT LOOK FURTHER!! After the first reaction of " Wow, what a sad case this woman is, these are obviously all written by Bebe herself", I noticed some VERRRY interesting things.
If you take a look, (better do it fast because Bebe will probably frantically go about changing what I'm about to show you), you will see that almost every "customer review" is written by "someone" who just so happens to feel compelled to write a "review" about Bebe's book, even though they have never written ANY other reviews. "Reviewer" after "reviewer" just HAPPENS to love Bebe's book SOOOOO much, obviously more than ANY other book or ANY other film or ANY other CD that Amazon.com EVER sold, that it has moved them to write a "review".
Some of the "reviewers" just LOOOVED Bebe's book SOOOOO much that they went ahead and wrote TWO reviews, about the SAME BOOK. And there's another "reviewer" ("Bozkins" from Baton Rouge, for those checking) that loved Bebe's book SOOOO much that "they" wrote a "review" about Bebe's book, and the ONLY OTHER review they wrote is about the movie "Almost Famous". Guess what the "Almost Famous" review talks about?? YOU GUESSED IT!! This "person" spends the whole review of "Almost Famous" talking about none other than Bebe Buell !!! And surprise, surprise!! This "reviewer" wants people to think that the movie is based on none other than ... Bebe Buell !! Bebe, oops, I mean "Bozkins" even says that, even though the director Cameron Crowe states in no uncertain terms that the movie is based on his real-life friend named Penny, that Bebe claims she once had a conversation with Cameron about his age, so that MUST be about Bebe, because NOBODY EVER mentioned Cameron Crowe's age !! NOOOOO!! A 15 year old interviewing Led Zeppelin??? NOOO, I'm sure nobody EVER mentioned his age. So according to Bebe, oops.. i mean, "Bozkins" that MUST be about Bebe. Does this woman even GET the fact that the whole point of the movie, and Cameron Crowe's REAL LIFE is that he was way too young and everybody knew it and EVERYBODY SAID SO. I can't believe how insane she is.
OK, since I'm bored here at work, I'll continue...
NOW look at the "review" by "Iggybators". What a surprise! Another glowing "review of Bebe's book. This one even defends Bebe's neglecting of her daughter for years (until she had money, of course). Can you magine THAT?? A book soooo moving that someone would feel compelled to write a review JUST to say it's OK to abandon your child to chase rock stars around the country. It must be that incredible flair for the written word Bebe possesses. LOL
And....
Now see "Denise"'s "review". Another review praising Bebe's book, and, surprise surprise, trying to spread Bebe's bull about "Almost Famous" again. THEN Bebe, oops, I mean "Denise" ALSO goes so far as to write another "review" about "Almost Famous" where she mentions, can you believe it...Bebe Buell !!
And don't overlook....
Bebe's, oops.. I mean, "wc66"'s "review" on Bebe's book. This review, in all seriousness, calls the book "The best rock and roll memior yet!" WOW!, that's SOME review. This "person", once again sooo moved by Bebe's book that they've never reviewed ANYTHING else, starts their "review" by saying "Groupie is not the word for Bebe" HA HA. THEN, goes on the say "She was one of the first true independent women of rock, like Marianne Faithfull." I mean, HOW DELUSIONAL CAN SHE GET ??? Independent???? As in.. someone who DOESN'T live off men their entire lives??? As in.. someone who DID something?? PUH-LEEASE. Then Bebe, oops I mean "wc66" finishes off by stating the book is "never malicious". I'm glad "wc66" threw that in, because I now see I read the wrong book.
But wait...
Bebe, oops..I mean "wc66", then goes back 20 days later to write YET ANOTHER "review". This one mentions, suprise again... "Almost Famous", and goes on to make sure that you know how "candid" Bebe is, and that all the stories are "true", which I'm sure would baffle even Einstein as the stories CONTRADICT one another !! But I guess Bebe's more intelligent than Einstein, because EVERYBODY said how smart she is. Well.... according to Bebe anyway. She must be SOOO smart that all these guys are afraid to ever SAY so, probably intimidated by her overwhelming intelligence, just like all the reviewers saying what a horrible writer she is are REALLY just "jealous".
AND NOW.. THE MOST PATHETIC, SICKENING, SAD, SAD, DISPLAY OF OBSESSION, CONCEIT, AND INDIFFERENCE I'VE EVER SEEN.....
Take a look for yourself and you'll see that on September 11th, as every single human being on planet Earth was in shock and mourning, glued to their TV sets as thousands were murdered before our eyes and the World Trade Center towers collapsed one after another, and as the military was on highest alert while we all wondered if there were more attacks to come, THERE WAS ONE PERSON who felt it was more important to write a "review" of Bebe Buell's book. While we all watched the tears of the victims families, this "reviewer" felt it was SOOO much more important to inform everybody that "Bebe's Rebel Heart rocks!".
This "reviewer" also seem to think that, as the rest of us watched human beings drop to their death, it's more important that we all think Bebe Buell "is drop-dead gorgeous". I'm not kidding. Check for yourself.
Then it continues to let us know that Bebe "is a muse NOT a groupie" and that the book is not all "conceited" and blah blah... you know the rest.
Im completely overwhelmed not only by Bebe's incredible idiocy, but by the fact that she's so full of herself she thinks everybody else is even stupider !!!! I remember when she was busted on this board using fake names seemingly unaware that her IP was posted along with every post, and her different "personalities" were so stupid they would say the EXACT same things as Bebe, and I remember how people told her how it was INSULTING to our intelligence that she couldn't even be clever about her manipulations. More than one person expressed that this was even more insulting than Bebe's rants themselves. Obviously, she was too stupid to learn from that, and moved her obsessive posting from here to Amazon.com where she could just have them censor anybody who points out her inconsistant stories.
I may just attempt to write an article for "Publishers Weekly" as has been suggested. I am sickened.
