Subject: Crowned Casualty! (Part 3) - Sierra

"How's this possible?", Alicia asked. "I don't know!", Julie cried in slight panic. "Ok clam down.", said Alicia. "Maybe it's just from being overworked. You know with all the studying and your mind focused on the pageant comeptition. This just may be your body's way of demanding rest!". Looking persuaded, Julia replied "Maybe you're right. My muscles have been a bit stiff lately. "See!", cried Alicia happily. "I guess I'll go home and get a little rest." As they both left the food court tabel and headed towards the exit, the two of them happened to see Jennifer. "Hey isn't that the woman you bumped into at the audition?", asked Alicia. "Yeah it is.", Julia replied. As they got cloer to her while walking the mall lobby, they noticed the pale and lifeless look on her face. She stood there looking like someone turned off the "on" switch in her spirit. Julia and Alicia passed by looking puzzled. "What's wrong with her?", asked Alicia "I have no idea!", cried Julia as she continued looking wide-eyed. "Guess she's tired too.", said Alicia. When Julia got home, the stiffness in her body started again. "Oh no!", she said as she walked to the bed to lie down. Her muscles felt very stiff for a while and the pain would come and go throughout the day. On Sunday, she decided to stay home and could only drink water. Food for her continued tasting hideous as the stiffness in her muscles contiuned to start up and stop again. The following Monday at school, Julia wore sunglasses in class. "What's up girl?", asked Alicia in a friendly manner. "What's with the shades?" "It's just too bright in here.", said Julia. "You never had a problem with it before.", Alicia replied. "Is something wrong with your eyes?" "No.", snapped Julia a bit. "Let's see your eyes." replied Alicia as she tried to remove her glasses. "Will you stop?", replied Julia in an annoyed tone as a few of the classmates nearby looked on. "Let me see!", cried Alicia. "No!", Julia cried. The glasses accidentally fell to the floor exposing Julia's caterac eyes. "Oh my God!" Replied Alicia as she look at her in shock. She quickly gave the glasses back to her. Juila kept her eyes closed so no one else could see her eyes.
Reaching for her glasses to put them back on, Alicia asked "What happened to you? Did you come down with something?" "I don't know!" Julia worrily replied. "But whatever it is, it's gotten worse. it started when I got home after the auditions!" "We need to get you to a doctor!", Alicia cried. "No!", cried Julia. "Why not?" asked Alicia. Who knows what this could be! It might be a plague! We are GOING!", scolded Alicia as she took her by the hand and rushed out of class. "Miss Allens.", called professor Stuart. "Sorry sir it's an emergency!", Alicia cried as she and Julia both quickly left the class and proceeded to the hospital. Whila at the hospital, a doctor met with Julia and Alicia who told him all what happened. "It appears that your body is slowly decaying as though you are dead.", the doctor replied. "How can this be?", asked Alicia. "The cause is unknown, her body is in healthy condition.", he said. "I have to go to the restroom.", said Julia. "Down the hall to the left.", the doctor replied. As she walked out to go, she became lured by the morgue sign and it's arrow. She then proceeded to follow it direction being led into a room. In the room, Julia crept up and opened one of the doors. Curiousity and excitement raced in ehr veins as she pulled the tray
and opened the body bag. The body was pale, lifeless and icy cold. Gently causing her fingers to travel down the arm of the body, she held the hand up to her lips and softly took a bite. The look of satisfaction on her face revealed her physical state. "You mean Julia is a zombie?", cried Alicia. "Not a zombie, but her body has the symptoms some someone already dead.", the doctor replied. "Dr Bradley please report to thr ER." stated a voice on the intercom. "I'll be right back.", he stated as Alicia kept a bewildered look on her face. "Where's Julia?", she asked herself. Meanwhile in the morgue, Julia heard voices in the hall which caused her to quickly close the body freezer and run to the exit. She manage to slip out and head back to the floor. Alicia continued looking for Julia. "Julia!", she called while in the bathroom checking every stall. Each stall was empty causing her to become more worried. "Where is she?", Alicia asked. Leaving the bathroom, she bumped into Julia by mistake. "Where have you been?", asked Alicia. "Just around", Julia politely stated. "Do you know what Dr Bradley said? He said your body is reacting the same way as a dead person!"
