jitta bugga...it does my heart good to be reminded of a song that was dear to the hearts of allllllllll the people i knew or 'ever heard tell of' to use an old appalachian saying!!!
when i was jeest a leetle bologna my older brother juliano and his friends were woodsman,hunters and fishers...well acoerding to legend the hung a turtle [who i guess had the misfortune to get caught by the murderous bunch]...andway after a trail reminiscent of judge roy bean ...tom turtle as he a was called...was summarily hung by the neck until he was dead...thenhe was immortalized forever by a song called 'hang down you head tom turtle' ahhhhhhhhhhhhh ahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahhahahahahahaha
i have never forgotton that song...some of it is as follows.
