Looking for anyone that was in Mr. Fienga's class, 1975. Boy what a class we had!!! Have spoken with a few people from that class, even spoke to Mr. Fienga himself. A few of us have gotten together already, and some of people that didn't make the gathering, I have spoken too and would really like to get together. But unfortunately we still can't find everyone from that class. Would be great getting together with everyone. Ok I'be attended Olm from pre-k till 8th grade[ oh yeah, no longer "Our lady of miricles", its 'Trust' instead of miracles , sellouts!] anyways the people i went to school with were bitches, skanks and phonies. I was cleaning out some closets and found my 8th grade yearbook and am trying to look up some of the faculty/ old classmates. I started O.L.M in 1998 and I still remember so many of the people who have impacted my life. Where are all the people that live and lived in Canarsie there has to be a more recient posting than these. I moved out of Canarsie in 1981, and miss the area, it was a very frendly and family oriented place to live. I also lived in Red Hook if you want to see a great web site log onto south brooklyn network and go to the guest book. People log in and communicate with each other every day. And it brings back things that i have completly forgotten.

We've got quite the intellectual genius chiming in on this board with some utterly mind blowing comments about Mrs. Libretto and some OLM graduates. It wasn't long ago that I graduated (at least it doesn't feel as if it was long ago), but I guess I've matured beyond my years to feel the need to say GROW UP. Mrs. LiBretto was one of the best teachers I have ever had. She was tough, but that only made us better students. When I brought my daughter to OLM to register for Pre K, Mrs. LiBretto was walking down the hall. She shook hands with my daughter and told her she looked forward to teaching her one day! Unfortunately we moved before she reached Mrs. LiBretto's grade level. She did, however, get to know her through the previous years. My daughter was truly amazed that Mrs. LiBretto had taught my whole family at one time or another. She definitely made an impression on all of us. I hope it warms her heart knowing how we all feel about her.

Teachers like Mrs. LiBretto are a rare find. I can't even count the times I prayed my children would get a teacher like her. I can recognize every student she taught just by their penmanship. I am still dissecting sentences ( subject, predicates, direct objects...). The educational foundation she set, has lasted me through the years. I am sorry my children never had the opportunity to be taught by her.
