Jesus never states that he is God. John 10:31 states �I and my father are one� Christ does not state that he is God but that he and his father are one in their purpose. It is a figure of speech like "I am one with nature." I do not call myself nature. John 8:58 �Before Abraham was, I am�. ??
John 5:18 "And for this reason the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because He was doing these things on the Sabbath. But He answered them, �My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working. For this cause therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God." The Jews were saying he was making himself equal to God. Jesus did not state that he was God. By calling one your Father does not make you equal to them. John 14:9 Jesus said: "He who has seen Me has seen the Father" Another figure of speech - not to see him as God but to have seen the works of God through him.
