For anyone interested in What became of Frank Chierico! 1 Week after 9/11 he suffered multiple strokes . He now currently resides at a Nursing home in Queens on 108th ST. He Sustained permanent brain damage and the complete loss of his entire Left side. Unfortunately he will live out the rest of his days There. I was scared stiff of this women. Broke out in hives. As long as she had her coffee in the morninging she wasn't half bad. I'll never forget decorating her classroom and leaving thumb tacks on her chair accidently. They stuck to her bottom and never knew it until she wrote on the board and everyone started to laugh at her with the thumb tacks stuck to her bottom. Well that's one thing you didn't do in her class, laugh out loud while she was diligently putting work on the board with her back to us. I was crying and crawling underneath my desk while she was yelling at the class asking why they were lauging. Finally one boy in the class had to tell her that she had thumb tacks stuck to her bottom. I thought I was a gonner. But guess what, that was the first time I ever heard her laugh along with the class. She felt her bottom for the tack and thanked God for playtex girdles.

Your mom was the best! When I was a crossing guard back in 79-81, she always let me sneak across the street to get a hot chocolate from McDonald's and never gave me a problem!

My Mom Millie Moheit used to be the Crossing Guard on Rockaway Pkwy From the late 70's till 1999. She also Crossed Kids at P.S. 114 in the late 60's to early 70's.
I just wanted to let my Canarsie friends know my mom passed away on Nov. 15th 2004. She loved Canarsie so much but had to leave when her health failed. It was a treat seeing so many of my old classmates from'69 and many other friends from other graduating classes on the 20th of October. The committee did a terrific job organizing this reunion. The day went so quickly and, of course, there wasn't nearly enough time to share every thing that has happened over the past 32 years! So glad I got to see all of you! Let's keep in touch!

Kindergarden - Mrs. Rampino - Spending every day behind the door as punishment for not speaking at all -note: that is considered corporal punishment now
First Grade - name escapes me - first day of school, during role call. The teacher calls my name and Tina Aldorondo (sp?) takes it upon herself to axplain to the teacher that I don't speak. After which I yelled "HERE" and gave Tina a six year old dirty look (I think she was too stunned to notice)
Second Grade - Mrs. McKowski (sp?) - During snack time, Mrs. McKowski stealing cheese doodles out of my snack bag. And then proceeded to steal from everyone else on top of that.
Third Grade - Mrs. Seiga (SP???) - During class one afternoon, I think Karen LaMarr who sat all the way in the back, asked to go to the lavatory. She was told no, moments later we heard what sounded like water dripping. We all turned and there was Karen sitting in a puddle of her own urine.
Forth Grade - Mrs. Rock - My crush on Sal (can't remember his last name). And since Mrs. Rock was my favorite teacher to date, I went home one afternoon and made this obnoxious combination of grape jelly, corn flakes and god only knows what else. The next day I proudly gave it to her, in a won-ton soup container. To this day, I am so glad she didn't ask me what she would use it for, I had no clue. The following year, I met her and her mother on the B42 bus stop and she introduced me to her mother as the girl who made us the "jelly spread".
Fifth Grade - Sister Caterine - Vinny Nunez being ridculed in front of the whole class for tormenting me and my best friend Nicole the previous afternoon. We were roller skating up east 95th street and Vinny was hanging out with some friends. He yelled something as we passed by and I yelled profanities back. Next thing I know we were being chased by him and another guy, all over Canarsie. Nicole and I finally made it to my house, where my dad was just coming home from work. We told him what was happening, leaving the part about my filthy mouth out, and Dad got into his car and started chasing Vinny! He was so pissed he didn't care which side of the street he was driving on or if he was driving the wrong way up a one way street.
Grades 6 - 8 to be continued.....
