In my experience, the majority of dancers who stay usually love it. And its nice after having so much out of dancing and the life skills learnt, to put back. Thats where I have the problem, why dont thes young ones give back, surely its not all about competition and winning. Sure everyone would like to win, but you know NZ is a small place and some who gave up never won overseas, or NZ and complain about lack of competition. I would have given up teaching years ago with that atitude. Also there was no tension with the teachers, perhaps you need to realise we have a life too and sometimes are pre occuppied with something else. Remember we are not paid to be at comps.
