Subject: Marriage Institution History.

The western world marriage institution did not come from a romatic novel,government nor the court.In fact marriage was active Judaism over 3500 years ago for uniting the two human genders man and woman.Secondly for natural procreation and a mom and dad for kids.Later marriage went into Christianity from Judaism.Later again at 312AD the Roman Emperor Constantine due to a vision enacted Christianity to be the official religion.Here Christianity and it's marriage institution expanded futher into Europe and over to England.At England Christianity and it's marriage institution expanded to the Common wealth country's,North America ect.,.Yes their some other male -female unions such as ancient Greece and parts of India but the other unions have different union names and history's then the marriage institution.
