orry to tell you but it is illegal to have sfs as pets in CA. You would have to sneak it in and then keep it a secret. It could be taken away from you and then all they would do is put it in a shelter until they thought it was old enough to turn loose in the wild. You could always call you state wildlife and fisheries to confirm.
