(Sydney, I hope you've gotten some help, already, but in case not, ...), and without more information, I'd be inclined to think your flyer might have ringworm. It's not really a 'worm', but a fungus. It can be treated with a soapy solution of Betadine surgical scrub, gently applied with a cotton swab. Apply the Betadine, and allow it to remain on for about 10 minutes, if you can (you may well have to 'wrap' Roxy in a towel, to keep him from trying to lick off the Betadine.) Then, using a half tablespoon of white vinager in a cup of water, rinse the area by saturating a cotton ball, and using it to sponge off the Betadine. You may have to do it once a day, and for about a week, to kill the fungus.

Please let us know how Roxy is doing! For faster replies to serious problems, I'd suggest contacting the National Flying Squirrel Association for a referral. You might also try either the Flying Squirrel Fancier or Flyers Only for quicker replies to problems.
