You'd probably have to find an 'exotics' pet store, to get a flying squirrel in the UK. There are some on the European 'mainland' -- there was a fellow from Denmark, I believe, who used to communicate with the messageboards. The most likely species will be the N.Am. <i>Glaucomys volans</i>, as the Eurasian flying squirrel, found in Northern Europe, is probably protected. I believe the National Flying Squirrel Association messageboard may have a member or two from the UK -- here's a link:
