Try clicking on "Create New Playlist", then try "Load Playlist" again.
More details below:
Just discovered a recovery trick for one particular type of winamp stuff up.
I was updating using the latest winamp and plugin installers and checking old playlists for viability.
One old playlist got stuck in winamp crosswise, failed to load, and triggered a shut down warning, and I had to shut down the entire program. After reinitializing winamp, I found that "load playlist" would blank out when arrowed and would not work.
I have seen this before and found a few ways to correct it. However they did not work this time.
Tried restarting the computer - did not correct the problem.
Reinstalled winamp over the existing program - did not correct the problem, and wiped out the plugin. (This fix had worked for previous versions).
Uninstalled winamp, did fresh install of winamp and plugin. The "load playlist" was still messed up, which was really strange after a new install. This I hadn't seen before.
Then I clicked on "Create New Playlist" and that seem to unstick whatever was stuck crosswise in the program, and then "Load Playlist" worked again.
Maybe this is all that was needed in the first place, when it first got stuffed up.
