 Helpful hint -- When using the cassette adapter, leave the play and pause buttons depressed.

Reason. Once the cassette adapter is correctly in place, if you push stop, the automatic reject system which is part of the stop switch tends to kick the adapter out of position, requiring opening the lid and tapping the adapter down into place before depressing the play switch again.

The pause button should be used to keep the gears in the cassette adapter from moving and creating unnecessary noise.
This does not stop the flow of music.
