Subject: 88 oliver engine swap

 I have an 88D std with bad engine, I think I want to upgrade to a later oilver engine, will a 283 waukesha out of a 1655 bolt in without any modification. My mechanic is afraid of engine swaps due to extra time in his shop. Maybe somebody that has done it will convince him to do it. Thanks
