Subject: Hey, Carrie :-) Thanks - it still needs a lot of work. Since it's a hobby, I just change it as I learn something new, lol. The CD was a real honor and a lot of fun. Just hope I did it justice, or somewhere close. I haven't done much with color, other than computer graphics and a bit of watercolor years ago. Shirley does color, though. Hey Shirley...

[> [> [> [> Subject: I HAVE used oil pastels, yes, but prefer oil pencils and good ole pen and ink. Depends on the subject or the feeling, eh? Only watercolors I've dabbled in were abstracts...Did a couple a few years back (one was an Indian and the other was a snow scene)...Not as much into watercolor but do enjoy the more opaque guache. Acrylics: pretty but hate 'em when they dry so fast. Oils are awesome.

[> [> [> [> [> Subject: I tend to prefer pencils, also, including charcoal pencils instead of the sticks, because it allows more control. I've done the most color with acrylics. The best tip there I was given is to keep blending medium on-hand to extend work time, also there's a medium that adds depth but I can't remember now what it's called! I have done some imitation stained-glass painting fairly recently, which is kind of fun. I need to do more, too. I have window panels waiting to be accented!
